A BOX OF LIES – THE UNTOLD STORY OF TEA HAPPENED

Attention buyers! This is NOT the Pomegranate Raspberry Herbal Tea you can buy in the UK. This is a product made under license in China from various ingredients. This is an inferior product from Twinings, not for an unsuspecting American audience. I just bought six packs of junk. It's disgusting that Twinings would just put their name on the packaging of a product they didn't even make. A product that contains fillers and second-rate ingredients. DO NOT trust the Twinings name in the USA as you

My favorite is definitely good for black

My favorite spiced tea. I don't like the strong taste of tea and most of the ones I've tried have aged in my cupboard before I finally threw them away. This tea has a very pleasant, spicy aroma that I associate with autumn, my favorite season. Still, I can enjoy this spring and summer. The expected "tea leaf” aroma is almost non-existent. With or without sweetener and milk, this is by far my favorite tea. If you put one or two of these tea bags in your coffeepot while the coffee is brewing…

Enough with Lady Grey!

I've been drinking Twinings of London Lady Gray tea religiously for as long as I can remember. I just bought 18 boxes. The first surprise was that the box has changed. I don't particularly like what's new, but it doesn't really matter. However, the next change IS a very important one: Twinings has changed the flavor formula! Why did they do it without warning after so many years? This is rude and extremely unfair to those of us who have been loyal customers for so long. Enough. I will no longer

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Too stupid

For many, many years I have been buying Twinings Prince of Wales tea regularly in leaf form ie in 100g loose tea tins, suddenly (fall 2020) no longer available. I bought several boxes of supposedly PoW tea bags. However, this is not what I usually buy at all. SEE ATTACHED PHOTOS - LEFT = TEA BAGS, RIGHT = ORIGINAL SOLUTION TEA. The tea bags appear to contain compartments, while the leaf form is made up of very large individual leaves. Most importantly, the taste and aroma of tea bags are…

Rough! Tastes like a bingo room plus dirt

I usually like smoked meat. This is a definite exception. I was hoping for a fragrant, smoky tea, but this one is "smoky" in the sense of a stale ashtray, not in the sense of a woody BBQ or campfire. thought "I want it in my mouth", this is the drink for you. I tasted it in its pure form and decorated it in every way so that a person can drink tea intelligently. The more non-tea you add, the less bad it gets, but it will always taste like it survived a building fire. It can be a useful aid in…

Not the Lady Gray you know and love.

I have been ordering Revain's Twinings Lady Gray tea for quite a number of years - 6 boxes per lot - literally. The last order, placed about a week ago, came with the new Twinings packaging design - a gold box instead of the traditional blue. A vague uneasiness stirred within me. I brewed a sachet and was stunned, completely stunned by the taste. Or rather tasteless. This is NOT Lady Gray tea. There is no orange, no lemon, let alone bergamot. It's just a tasteless tea that you can get at a…

Wrong, possibly counterfeit tea

I've been buying Twinings Irish Breakfast for years on Subscribe and Save at Revain. This is my favorite tea. I drink a cup every day. I even take it with me on vacation. When I ordered my saver subscription at the end of last year, about 1/3 of the packages didn't taste right. At first I thought I forgot how to brew tea or that my cup isn't getting clean properly (soap residue etc.). Despite our best efforts, the taste of the tea was still unpleasant. Even worse is the next order to subscribe…
