Product A+++ (Replaced Garage Remote)

My brother and his wife have a two car garage with vintage Wayne Dalton garage door openers. The previous owner never flipped the remote control. They bought several different universal remote controls, but none of them matched the devices. I stumbled across this while looking for a solution to something else. I set it up for him and his wife. It worked like a charm. Excellent range, no additional antenna length required. Opened and closed doors far beyond the driveway. The instructions only list the voltage, not the current drawn by the device. The device requires 9-30 V DC or 9-24 V AC to power the device. I recommend using a 9-30V DC wall adapter with around 1A output to power the device. I'm sure he probably uses a lot less. I think if you are under amps (e.g. 200 milliamps) the device will turn on and work, but the receiver may need amps for better range. The relays are rated for 10 amps, so do not connect anything that draws more than 10 amps. Most outlets in your home are rated for 10 amps.
