Easy Parts Installation

Installation was very easy, literally under half an hour on my 2000 Toyota Tundra! I watched a few YouTube videos beforehand and was suspicious as it seemed too easy; whatever it was. Some helpful tips I gleaned from the video: Spray nuts like Liquid Wrench or WD 40 a few hours before launch. U-bolts don't need to be torn off on both sides; Remove one and unclip the others, the existing fender comes out easily and the new one fits in. Have a breaker ready; The nuts have been there for a long time and you'll probably have to squeeze them in firmly before you can use the wrench to remove them without it. (I used a piece of pipe left over from a plumbing repair.) The manual says to raise the truck a bit, but not enough to allow the wheels to dangle freely. I didn't find it necessary. At least my truck had enough room to work on all four wheels. Haven't had a chance to test them under load but I can say they will be a big improvement when towing our caravan. They were recommended to me by a Transporter mechanic in whom I have great confidence. He only uses them and no longer installs air flaps. He even told me not to pay him to install it! Update: This is the first time I've dragged my trailer and it really helped straighten my trailer. It's still not 100% but I wasn't expecting it. Pulls softer too. I am happy with this purchase.
