Review on Premium Heavy Duty X-Ring Chain JTC530X1RNN102RL πŸ”— (530 Series), Nickel-Plated, 102 Links with Connecting Link by Ralph Banks

I am very happy with this

This is a serious high quality chain. Very strong and smooth, impressive. I bought this to replace an aging Tsubaki chain and I've shopped at the big brands. I chose JT because of their reputation in the sprocket industry and also because of the price compared to similar offerings from leading chain manufacturers. I am very happy with this one installed last week, feels great after 500 miles of hard driving. I'll update this review in a few thousand miles if necessary, but for now I'm very impressed with the craftsmanship. The steel used is so strong that it was very difficult for me to push in the rivets on the main link. Actually it was unrealistic and I used a heavy duty riveter. I wouldn't waste my time and effort riveting a joint with one of the cheaper economy class riveting machines. If that is any indication of a chain's overall strength, then I would say that this chain can easily handle 50,000 miles. As mentioned, my heavy-duty riveter was very hard to come by, so plan on having the PowerSports Store rivete a link for you, or do yourself a favor and order an HD (I suggest getting a riveter rated at up to 630). chain) or you can just order a clip hanging link. Make sure you get a genuine "JT X1R" master cam for a good fit (I tried a stock Tsubaki cam, just had to see if it would fit and it was too small). JT steel is thick. A few final thoughts: If you want to make your bike lighter (heavy-duty = heavy weight), this isn't the best choice. However, if you focus on durability and quality, this chain feels bulletproof to me and has a good fit and finish as well. *** I will update the review if necessary, but I assume this network will exceed expectations!
