I have 3 Visio TVs at home with 3 Visio remotes. Every time one of these puppies falls (which I think happens all too often) the remote will fall apart and the batteries will die. Over the past year, those crappy remotes have proven to be just that. crappy. Buttons no longer work because nothing else fits properly. It starts to separate and you have to hold the remote together while pressing the buttons to just turn the TV on. I've lived through too many batteries because sometimes these little jerks don't like to be found. I was looking for a more durable universal remote, but nothing beat the original with Visio's home button and Netflix shortcuts. Who wants to get used to the new remote setup? Not me. So I bought 3 crappy new remotes and 3 of these cases. The remotes continue to fall excessively, but none of them have been injured so far. The perfect solution to my little first world dilemma. Remote controls feel sturdier with a cover. They are harder to lose and glow in the dark (which my kid loves). This didn't seem like a big problem before, so I never gave much thought to the solution. But I'm glad I finally did because now I don't secretly get annoyed 10 times a day when the remote falls off the couch or my daughter drops it because she can never watch TV without carrying the remote, like him. best friend in the whole world. So thanks to whoever came up with this. My little problems with my crappy remotes are finally solved.
