I have moderate COPD and take it for the muscle wasting associated with the condition. I work a very demanding job moving and installing metal shelving in new builds and before I started (along with a few other additions) I couldn't climb more than one flight of stairs without almost feeling like passing out. due to lack of oxygen, my muscles were almost exhausted and on the verge of giving up. Since adding them to my daily routine in early December (a month ago), I've regained most of the muscle I lost. I can now (with 20-45lbs of Regal) climb up to 5 flights of stairs in 6 or 7 consecutive rides. without the awful feeling of not being able to breathe. This change is just incredible for me! Now I can actually "roll" my brother twice and he's "healthy". Apart from my job 5 days a week, I don't exercise at all. Please understand that I also increased my calorie and protein intake significantly, which may be the reason for my improvement, but I have chosen to attribute at least 50% of the improvement to using pure BCAAs. I will not stop! My own medical research led me to BCAAs, and professional medical research has shown that BCAAs can actually help strengthen respiratory muscles as well as other muscles in the body.
