Favorite necklace but does show wear

I bought this almost a year ago and I never take it off. Not once have I removed it and it’s held up remarkably well. It has started to look worn but I almost have developed a habit where I rub it with my fingers often throughout the day when having any strong emotions. Chain has not looked worn and held up well. This necklace allows me to bring my best friend with me no matter where I go and rubbing it all the time reminds me how much I love and miss him,

A nice keepsake to carry someone with you.

Cons

The silver may tarnish easily and require frequent cleaning and maintenance
