This is a pretty cool product. You can find out where your car is at any time. You don't have to worry about powering the transmitter as it is powered by the OBD connector. Speed alerts can be set to any speed limit alerts are also easy to set up. You will receive text when an alert occurs. You can get notifications every time the car is turned on or off and this gives the location. For $25 a month, you'll learn a lot about your car and where it's going. It also alerts you if someone removes and reinserts the device. Good device, very reliable. I will say that sometimes there is a delay in notification, however, the time of the event is indicated in the text, although you may be an hour late. You can always go online and see where your car is, giving you more options if you're wondering where your kid is going, what route they're taking, etc. Works damn well. I haven't given it 5 runs due to delays sometimes on warnings, not sure why it happens but sometimes it does.
