Everything you read about this tap is true. The good, the bad, the indifferent, it's all true. The advantage is that it's cheap. It works a little better than the typical "picnic faucet" and has less foam. On the other hand. . . (where do I start?) There is no spring to keep the faucet closed when not in use. A good faucet should turn itself off when you release it. It's not like this. If you attach it to a pressurized bottle, MAKE SURE it's in the off position or you'll squirt honey all over the bottom (or whatever you put in your bottle: why anything but honey? ). If you accidentally touch the handle, you'll squirt honey all over the floor. If you. . . Well you got the idea. You'll vomit honey onto the floor. The device is delivered disassembled, NO INSTRUCTIONS are included. If you've got a mechanical mind you'll probably figure out how to assemble it pretty quickly. Otherwise just forget it. There are sprockets where the actual faucet connects to the connector, allowing you to tilt the faucet to varying degrees. But unless you're a Zaphod Beeblebrox (or you have three hands), I encourage you to line up where you want it and hold it there while you tighten the retaining ring. Lefmason wants to know about the "thickness" of the product. Thickness? What is that supposed to mean? Thickness? Bottom Line: There are much better faucets out there that have springs that default to "closed". They also cost more. Be sure to USE a DRIP BUCKET under the faucet. You will need it. The compartment is not enough. Update: So I wrapped a thick rubber band around the handle and ball cap on the opposite side. This is a quick fix that makes the faucet closed by default. It's not pretty, but it works. And yes, I should have thought about that before mopping the kitchen floor five times. I haven't changed my rating.
