Just terrible, useless compared to the previous model.
The previous model was surprisingly good and lasted almost two years before the probe broke. This one is useless. You have to press it to light it every time you need the temperature, making it useless, and the probe is absurdly long so it can't be inserted into something thinner like a salmon steak. Buy an instant reading thermometer. KitchenAid will bring back the great previous model. Who wants to sit and push a button every ten seconds to see when a fish hits 135 degrees?
- Useful tips. Digital thermometers should not be left in food during cooking. Excessive heat can damage plastic and electronic components
