The ingenious way to replace Shrader valves without wasting coolant.

I've always wondered if there's a way to replace Schrader cooling valves without draining all freon from cooling systems. The ERGAOBOY AC R410A valve core removal and installation tool gets the job done without wasting refrigerant. If you see oil residue around the refrigerant valve caps, it may very well mean that the valve under that cap is leaking. *WARNING* Before proceeding, ensure that the engine is not running and that you are wearing safety goggles. Please note that I have included pictures in the order of removing and installing the valve core for reference. First remove the valve cap and screw the body of the core removal tool firmly onto the valve in question as shown in the 1st picture, then push in and slightly turn the knurled knob on the outer end of the tool shank until the end of the tool shaft snaps onto the Schrader valve insert on . Then turn the knurled knob counterclockwise to unscrew the valve core until the threads on the core are completely loosened from the valve body. (If you apply slight pressure as you turn the shaft counter-clockwise, you will hear a faint click with each turn as the threads loosen.) Slowly pull on the knurled handle until the core of the coring tool fully protrudes into the top of the coring tool. Vein. . At this point the valve core should still be attached to the end of the stem so you can close the yellow valve knob on the tool by turning it clockwise. (Note: you cannot turn the yellow knob clockwise until the stem holding the valve core is fully extended.) While holding the valve puller body, unscrew only the top of the valve, which contains the stem holding the old one valve core supplies . in the field of view, as shown in the 3rd figure. Remove the old valve core from the shaft and snap the new one into place. Now proceed in reverse order to screw the new valve core firmly into the valve stem. Be sure to replace the valve cover with one of the new ones included in the kit. Once you've replaced any other suspect valve cores, you can recharge the system and check for leaks. Once you replace the first valve core you will find that the process is really quick and easy.
