Not accurate - tape measure
After trying this a dozen times on a few people and then manually taking the temperature with a thermometer under the tongue, it became clear that it wasn't accurate. It regularly measures temperatures at normal body temperature. I wouldn't rely on that to tell if someone has a fever.
