This is a gas cap. It fits perfectly up to the threads in the gas filler neck. BUT. The plastic ring that attaches the gas cap to the gas cap is SO HERE that it literally starts unscrewing/unscrewing the gas cap again when I close the gas cap. Since then I've had to disconnect it from the fuel filler flap. I bought it because I received a P0465 "Check Engine" code, which is an extremely small emissions leak caused by either a faulty fuel cap or a faulty purge valve (thanks largely to the "Blue Driver OBDII Scanner") , which is also available here at Revain). One was easier to check/replace than the other, but if the lid doesn't close properly I can't tell if it fixed the problem. I hope that the locking ring will loosen over time.
