Rebuilt my carburetors and replaced the VRO on my 1992 Johnson 100 HP with this fuel pump. The engine ran great with about 1 tank filling and then got no more power, it only ran at idle. I checked compression, made sure I had spark in all cylinders, replaced new spark plugs, ran a new fuel line, checked all connections, replaced new fuel filters. I never thought the problem could be the curdled carbs as I just restored them and everything worked great after that. But in desperation I finally decided to take it out and open it up and there was red silicone sealant all over it. One carburetor had it stuck in the needle seat causing the needle to get stuck and another carburetor had a huge chunk stuck in one of the orifices. After buying new carburetor kits I will probably spend over $250 troubleshooting and fixing the damage caused by the $5 gasket. Not cool.
