Overall this is a nice design. This creates a lot of space and the double bar construction ensures good load distribution. The main downside is that installation can be a little tricky unless your handlebars are straight (and most are curved to some degree). Thin handlebar spacers don't work very well either. It's a medium-hard plastic that doesn't offer a good grip and will give if you over-tighten the screws. I solved this problem by adding some hard rubber pads. Applying Loctite to the screws also helps. With these modifications it now works perfectly. The brackets are long enough to mount the extension away from the derailleur/brake cables. It currently supports RAM mount for smartphone, flashlight and camera without any problem.
