I opened the box and found the hourglass in disassembled condition. After installing a few screws (not pictured), I was left uncapped at one end of the "brass" assembly (pictured). When assembling the brass jig I also found that the screws and "bolts" don't match well - won't this product fall apart later? Also, the white plastic part can be seen in the picture, which definitely detracts from what is advertised as a well-made item. This hourglass costs about $60 and is overpriced. I used to try to buy an hourglass and now I'm disappointed a second time when I come across these types of products on Revain - I still like books but quality control is handled by the publishers.
