I have a couple of Strathmore albums to draw on tried from diaries and none of them worked well. The paper was too thick, the spirals were too small, the paper was torn, or the pages were too dark, brown. This notebook is great for sketching or journaling (pen or pencil). :one. The front cover is mainly made of thick cardboard, not hard cardboard.2. Hardboard back, but not as hard as the Strathmore albums. Pros: 1. The paper is the perfect thickness, off-white or off-white.2. Spirals keep the paper in the book perfectly without tearing holes.3. Many pages. It's 100 pages, not 50 pages with 2 pages.
