UPDATE: The product was still in a usable fragment and it was probably an error installing emd. I put the cranks in the slots and had to pull them out to adjust the part. The slots were still intact so I figured they were fine. I removed the rear cover from the tailgate to get access to the handle again and found the passenger tie bar had slipped out of the clip. Again, I probably had to pull it out once it was in place. I am now giving this product the correct rating because I believe it is my fault for the incorrect installation. Note: I glued the crank to the clamp anyway to avoid the same problem. This allowed the rod to move freely but be glued to the clamp. Hope that helps. I replaced the stock tailgate handle with this product because it was cheap. It was all cheap as I opened the back door less than 5 times in a given period of time. I had it less than a month before it broke. Didn't try to return it so I have no customer service experience about the seller.
