I know how silly it is to equate weight with quality but when I felt the weight of this item I decided that buying this particular item was the right choice . The diverter that replaced this one was also metal (like most of them), but the lever was cheap plastic inside, and the O-ring pushed it back, filling most of the bathroom with water. a long time, probably a lot longer than me. The output select lever has good feedback and travel, making it easy to toggle and share the difference. The only thing I can point out (because it's just a red herring) is the packaging and accessories. It's always a pleasant surprise when a company comes with the necessary ingredients to use a product, even if it's something that company requires you to have. Comes with Teflon tape and, surprisingly, a wrench too. The kit also includes standard O-rings. If you need a diverter for a shower head or anything else, then this one will do without the big bills.
