I am giving this 5 star rating based on the ONE time I have used it. I bought this after too long looking at everyone else and re-reading the reviews because it connects directly to the battery (without worrying about blown fuses) and because it has two motors. I wanted something that would inflate my truck tires faster than my previous one (which was plug-in and took about 10 minutes to inflate to 10psi). I keep my tires at 80psi and check them about every month to make sure they're up. I've had a tire up to 70psi. When I got this villain I immediately pocketed it (pretty easy, simple and quick) and pocketed it. My tire went from 70 to 80psi in about 2 minutes. It's fairly quiet (as quiet as any of these can get), and packing it back into its fancy carrying case was a breeze. Everything fits well, nothing is pushed or tried to fit. Oh, and the reach of the hose is amazing. He went from the hood of my truck to the driver's rear wheel with a spare inner tube. (F150, 6ft bed, super cab) I don't think trying to hitch it to something attached to the back of a truck will do the trick. I always have everything I need to change/repair tires in my truck as I don't like being stuck at the side of the road. I don't know if it can inflate a completely flat truck tire without overheating. But I believe there will be enough air to get to the gas station with an air pump. As for car tires, they probably would have coped with the task. Compared to all the others I think this one is durable and strong enough to go the distance. Did I also say that I like the tote bag? Packs up nicely and slides right under my back seat.
