I’ve had an obsession with robots since childhood. They didn’t have anything like this though, and they were crazy expensive. This would have been perfect for me as a kid. To see this under the tree, it would have enthralled me!You can actually build it, which my twins did not need mommy’s help. (10 at the time. they just turned 11), and they had this guy up and running in no time.Is it like the then $300 of my robot past? NO! They didn’t have anything but complete robots that were very expensive to buy, and yes, those could do more, but it’s much more fun to put something together and feel that sense of accomplishment, and then enjoy the rest of the toy. in this case, the robot.It wasn’t designed, nor priced might I add, for many bells and whistles, but for the price it delivers well. I honestly didn’t go in expecting much. My kids don’t have the attention span of mom’s youth, BUT it’s not hard to put together, a younger child can do it and feel pride, maybe 8+ without help, and younger with. The fact that it even MOVES after that is a huge bonus at this price point.Ever price out a big Legos kit? Yup, me too, and my kids lose them. They don’t get very into them. sadly for me cause I bought a lot, lol. They lose interest. This had a purpose they were eager to get to, and I’m very happy we ordered this product.It definitely created smiles building, and it’s really a cool, little robot to boot, which is simply a bonus to me at this price that it does what it does on top of it!I think it’s quite giftable. I’d give it 4.5 stars if I could. We had a couple minor hiccups, but nothing that daddy’s quick help could not handle!I’m not that good with tech stuff lol. Other than that. loved it and do recommend it!
