Review on Glow Plug Removal Remover Damaged by Eric Pavelko

Revainrating 1 out of 5

My opinion on the tool kit is that the tools are made of inferior materials.

I was hoping the tool kit would be of acceptable quality for removing stuck glow plugs in heads still on the engine. 2006 Duramax van. The drill dulled after the first use. GM Thread 10mm x 1.25 Thread - Not included in this kit. Assuming you pierced the glow plug and decided to cut it to use the extraction tool, you'll learn this cheap stuff quickly - a real disappointment. I sent the kit back. But it was worth a try! My vehicle is particularly difficult due to limited space. To be successful without this tool, I had to use the full McGuyver/gerryrig method. I ended up using regular drill bits and being careful and precise in enlarging the hole in the glow plug and then using a well made square puller and some other smart tools to remove the glow plugs. Cut the threads to size and use anti-seize compound on the new threads.
