I installed this in my 2003 F150 with a 5.4 liter V8. Installation was fairly easy, requiring only modest mechanical skill and common hand tools. After installation, and given the time it took the ECU computer to "learn" the difference in operating conditions, I quickly noticed an increase in performance with no noticeable increase. in the noise. I also noticed a slight increase in mileage over time (maybe 1-2mpg). The last proof was when we went on holiday with our caravan. The truck pulled much better, especially when we drove into the Blue Ridge Mountains. Additionally, overall gas mileage for the trip, including trailer towing, was significantly better than previous trips. Aside from installing a turbocharger, this is probably the best thing you can do to improve your engine's breathing, and it's a lot. Cheaper and easier than hooking up a blower!
