Hardware works, drivers are finicky, supplied firmware is defective

Drivers were a tedious installation because the USB serial adapter was not recognized correctly by Windows. It needs CH340 driver, after installation you can access the serial port. After that, I found that the sample firmware that came with it didn't work. After flashing it with my own code, the camera worked fine, apart from an odd hiss/hiss from the camera itself that seems to track the camera's frame rate. With SRAM, it can run at the sensor's native resolution at painfully low frame rates.
