Just installed this fuel pump on my 1997 Jeep Wrangler. The OE pump ran but lost fuel pressure when shut off. Here are some tips for DIYers like me who have never changed a jeep fuel pump. If you live in a rust belt, take the time to remove the nuts that hold the rear skid plate in place. Lowes offers the necessary replacement nuts and bolts for those you break. If your skid plate is badly rusted, you can also replace it. Do not order a new rubber seal, this is included in the scope of delivery. Remove the rubber seal from the new fuel pump and press it against the tank before installing the pump. The fuel pump is spring loaded. It really hit me. When you install the new one, it sits an inch or two higher. Even though I ordered the wrong one. Much luck!
