🚗 Delphi FG1353 Fuel Module: Optimal Performance for Your Vehicle Review

I used a Delphi FG1353 fuel module on my 2001 TJ with 175k miles and original fuel pump. Installation was relatively easy aside from getting the large plastic nut fitted correctly onto the tank. It wasn't easy, but if you mark the nut with the starter threads and line it up with the tank, it will eventually snap back into place.

This fuel pump fits my 2000 Wrangler perfectly. As another reviewer said, the pump is "spring loaded" so it hits the bottom of the tank and you have to push it down to fit and install a large plastic "nut" to tighten it. The Delphi build fixed my long standing problem with the old pump. The jeep ran like a new jeep for about two months. Then the awful long grip began again. The check valve in the new assembly stopped holding fuel pressure in the lines. Disappointing.

My jeep had a problem starting immediately after driving and idled for less than 10 minutes, but it wouldn't start without a long crank if left sitting unless I turned it on , off, key on, off , on, then it starts. The Bosch OEM unit is no longer available, but Delphi was the next most trusted brand I could find. It was cheaper at Revain than any local store. CHANGE: I re-ordered this pump because the first one they sent me couldn't withstand the pressure and failed the volume test. I installed this second unit and it fired right up and held rail pressure. Looks like a good device but due to the work involved in this process and the fact that the first device didn't work properly I'm giving it two stars.
