The unit is very durable, there is a loud click when you turn the key. The keys are very strong and I'm very happy with the design, especially for the price. However, the wiring is reversed. After switching off and removing the key, the engine can be started. When the key is placed in the switch and turned on, the motorcycle will turn off. But then the key is locked in and you can't pull it out. Once the engine is off you can turn the key back to "on" and remove it, but then anyone can go to the engine and start it without the key, they just can't turn it off. Hope that helps.
