This is by far the best filter I've ever had! Fluval is great, now I won't switch to another brand! This filter is so quiet I always wonder if it's on, and yes it really is! Tuning Tips: Once the filter starts working, it stops for a few minutes. This is because it performs a self-test of the air. Don't unplug it while checking your air or you'll have to plug and unplug it all day! Also, it will automatically turn off for about 1 minute every 12 hours to check the air and then turn on again, so don't worry. Mine will automatically do this at 10:30 AM and then at 10:30 PM, just for reference. This is such a great filter! My fish and turtles love using the pressure hose as a flow and it sends them to the other side of the tank - they all love it!
