I bought this machine mainly for disk cloning. I have several computers at home and several at work (small office). Each has a system disk for the operating system and applications and a data disk for user data. The data is backed up online and is therefore safe. But when the system disk fails, it takes time to reinstall the operating system and applications. My plan is to clone the system drives once a month. So if anything happens, I can just replace the cloned drive and the system will be up and running in 5 minutes. I've tried cloning software (Acronis, EaseUS Todo, Paragon to name a few) but for some reason none of them work for all machines. This clone machine has worked for 4 of them so far. It's very easy to use. Yes. I need to remove the hard drive to be cloned from the PC. But it's easy for me. I'd rather delve into that than deal with the headaches and uncertainty associated with software cloning. PC not working during cloning. But I do the cloning at night.
