I received the part the day after I ordered it and was able to install it the next day. On my 2006 Silverado 1500, this made life and installation of the MAF sensor much easier by removing the entire air hose assembly. I did this with a flat head screwdriver following the recommended repair procedures. I sprayed silicone grease on a paper towel and rubbed the mating surfaces of the rubber gaskets to make them easier to install, but I didn't do it "upstream" from the sensor. After assembling and installing the air hose with the sensor between the airbox and throttle body and screwing everything back on, I poured a small amount of dialect grease into the wire joint and secured the wire harness. I've driven the truck about 200 miles with no issues and it seems to be running smoother and not throwing any codes. I'm a lucky tourist. When refueling I have to check the fuel consumption. If I get 14 years from this sensor like I did with the OEM sensor I will be really happy.
