I wanted to like these scissors. I previously bought a set of steak knives from Messermeister and I am absolutely delighted. I was hoping to have a similar experience with these scissors. What I like about scissors is that they are sharp and have a comfortable grip. Unfortunately, they have an Achilles heel. The screw holding them together just doesn't stay in place all the time. You can either set the tension high enough so that the scissors don't fall apart when you try to use them and thereby feel excessive resistance opening and closing the scissors, or you can set the tension high enough that you can use the scissors with reasonable effort open and close, but it will fall apart in your hands when you try to use it. There is no Goldilocks zone to adjust the screw.
