slippery and dangerous for poultry shears!

I didn't like the metal handle that became so slippery when cutting chicken, like poultry shears! but they don't research. Only sell products! Contact America Test Kitchen for the best selection of products and great and honest reviews! By the way, bought their recommendations to replace these bird clippers

Well made, high quality scissors. I've seen a complaint that it's too easy to understand. They are called "collapsible". This makes them easier to clean. I do not recommend washing in the dishwasher. Also, be sure to dry thoroughly. I saw a comment about rust. This happens with any stainless steel product that has not been dried properly. When rust occurs. Take them apart and soak them in vinegar for 5 minutes. The rust will come off soon. I'm still trying to keep the coaster on the bottle like

Necessary for beating chicken

Without Messermeister Poultry shears with strong lock, 10 inches, stainless steel ... chicken for grilling very difficult to beat. Sometimes kitchen scissors will work, but sometimes it takes a reputable bird trimmer to get the job done. The Messermeister Durable Locking Poultry Shears is a real cutting tool. Because of its size and shape, you can achieve strong hand leverage for spinal removal. The knives are disassembled for cleaning. Opening a chicken is the only way to get evenly cookedโ€ฆ

Can't recommend them enough.

After my wife's kitchen shears broke trying to cut a turkey, I decided to buy a sturdy set, all steel with no plastic handles. The heavy duty set I bought from the kitchen supply store was a big disappointment. The handle was too slippery when wet with bird sap causing it to slip, twist and the scissors literally couldn't handle the first use. So I went to Revain and started reading reviews. Knife Master seemed to be the most popular, but it wasn't. don't look as strong as the commercial onesโ€ฆ

Tends to fall apart with use

I wanted to like these scissors. I previously bought a set of steak knives from Messermeister and I am absolutely delighted. I was hoping to have a similar experience with these scissors. What I like about scissors is that they are sharp and have a comfortable grip. Unfortunately, they have an Achilles heel. The screw holding them together just doesn't stay in place all the time. You can either set the tension high enough so that the scissors don't fall apart when you try to use them andโ€ฆ

OK but not quite what I expected

We bought these shears to cut raw chicken hoping to quickly make a large pack of whole wings in drums and records to transform. In addition, the design and material is excellent. There were no problems with the spring version. There is a large notch in the back where your shoulder is at its maximum. Minus - these scissors are not enough. I have big hands, and if I loosen my grip enough to let the bone go into the notch, it means I'm at the limit of my grip. At 9 3/4" from pinky to thumb it'sโ€ฆ

4 1/2 stars! in Cutlery & Knife Accessories

They definitely fit my hand better than the 8.5" model as I'm left-handed, but the shorter blade and non-curved blade area make them less valuable or useful like 8.5 inches overall. Less a complaint than an observation๐Ÿ˜† I'm glad I bought both types and I hope they also release a 9.5-10 inch model to complete my scissor collection! Both cut/slide across the notepad sheet. like butter, which my upholstery scissors do. A sliding cut is one where you open the scissors about 2-3 inches and, without
