Not much one can say about these bowls, they look very nice in real life. They wash easy by hand, I gave up on dishwashers awhile ago. I don't feel like they will chip easily. Have had soup, chili and combo meals in them already. I don't know that they are the best for soup as they are wider and not so deep, so I feel like the soup will cool quicker. Maybe. And just one pet peeve is that I eat with a regular sized spoon, but if you try to rest the spoon on the side, it slides into the bowl (if there is no solid food there to hold it). So I sometimes eat with an iced tea spoon just so it is long enough to fit in AND out of the bowl. But I love the color and the modern look to them.
