Review on 👣 Convenient Westin 27-1675 Running Board Mounting Kit for Easy Installation by Iration Mccall

I bought this for my 2008 Mountaineer, it works but I think Ford reworked the Mountaineers chassis for 08 because of something getting in the way. Also check the correct application on the Westin website. Revain tried to suggest that the Mountaineer 02-04 mounts would fit my truck, but Westin provided a different number for my request. On the driver's side, the parking brake cable is rubbing against one of the brackets. Mounts (I had to put a sleeve on the cable to keep it from rubbing), my friend 06 Mountaineer doesn't interfere with the parking brake cable. Passenger side on top of the chassis, so to speak. I had to unscrew them (3 screws) and then pull out the lines to attach the screws. Again, my friends, the 06 Mountaineer doesn't have fuel lines, and the bracket holes are reinforced with steel plates, which the 08 Mountaineer doesn't have. It will work, I've had footpegs for a few months. No problem, but I think it's time for Westin R&D to update these mounts to make installation easier and stronger. I contacted Westin to see if they had an updated kit for 2008 but they didn't have it at the time.
