Review on Gotrax XR Ultra Electric Scooter: Max Range & Speed, LG Battery & 300W Motor, Pneumatic Tires, Foldable Escooter for Adults by Shawn Schmidt

So I got this scooter for Christmas from my husband. I live in PA and opened this when the weather was about 10 degrees and rode it during the freezing Temps (inner kid trumps adulthood any day, any weather).I read the reviews and decided to give you guys my honest opinion.Battery life: I managed to download an app which kept track of my trips. I managed to get about 11 miles in before I needed to charge it again. I must add, I live in a very hilly suburban area so the battery life does go down a bar or two when going up an incline. Another thing is the cold. I read that the scooter fairs better in the warmer weather. Guess we will have to wait and find out. Because I'm only using this to run errands the battery life doesn't bother me but when going uphill it does loose power and that does scare me.Cruise control: very tricky. You either activate it accidently or you don't activate it at all. Example, let's say you want to cruise at 10 mph, you cannot realistically activate it and keep it at your desired speed. In my opinion the cruise control is when you want to go at max speed without worrying about the speed changes. Because as I stated earlier, I'm riding this in freezing temperatures, sometimes it takes more effort to activate. Today was much warmer and it activated perfectly. There's also no way of knowing cruise control is activated.Speed: I read people say that this maxes out at 13 mph. Not true. This baby can easily do 15.7 and that's not going down a hill either. The speed is definitely true as described. ALight: The headlight is very bright. Have ridden it at night and have no issues being seen.Brakes: the brakes are the scariest part to me. Sometimes you stop by just a little tap and other times I'm almost thrown off because it won't activate how I want it to. It makes a weird squeaky noise when pressed especially coming downhill.Charger: charges great. Take it with you if you're commuting and you know you can charge it.Assemly: Easy assembly.Final thoughts: I've saved so much gas. Now to run errands in town, I take my scooter. Very light weight and efficient. Best give so far.
