The product works great. If you don't know its operation principle, your installation may encounter issues. But customer service is very help helpful.I have a push-to-right parallel installation and require 90 degree "hold open". Following the shipped instructions can never achieve the task. It either lost the "latching" capability (if you preload 45 degree) or "hold open" at 135 degree (if you don't preload). I was thinking about returning the product and try a different brand.Luckily I talked to customer service and learned that for my application, I can preload the door closer 45 degree, then pull its main arm from parallel to 10-15 degree (measuring 1 to 1 1/2 inch between ther door and the center stud of the main arm). This way, the product works as a champ.
