This was a great product. I've had it for about 6 months and it's held up well. I bought two 10 foot 4 x 4 pressure treated logs, dug holes for them and planted them about 4 feet deep. This kept them about 6 feet tall. I connected a barrel to each post and then wireline to it. I had to make sure the two poles were clear of anything the dog could get wrapped up in, such as an old satellite dish that needed to be removed. I put cover and some barriers on one end so he can get under it while running, but he can't wrap himself in stuff. In the end it was a great device for my 25lb Escape Master terrier. It can jump over a 4-foot fence at will by jumping up and down, grabbing the fence with its paws and jumping over it. The run is perfect in that I can go on vacation, leave my buddy with the nanny and know he won't run away. At the same time, I know he still has 40 x 20 (or almost 20 feet) of room to run so I don't get violent. One thing I did was put a U-bolt on the leash so the dog couldn't get to the end of the run and wrap around the bar. As I said, there is cover on the other end and he cannot wrap himself around this pole. However, at first I would sometimes come home and find that he had wrapped himself around the pole at one end. Installing the U-bracket on the wire, preventing it from going all the way through, fixed this issue. I also made sure the entire run was a safe distance from the fence so he couldn't try to jump over it and hang himself. I highly recommend this run as a humane yet effective way to contain your "best friend" and stop him from running away and all the wonderful negative things it entails. Finally, when not in use, I attach the end of the leash (which connects to the dog's collar) to the wire to keep it from falling to the ground and rusting.
