These are two identical pieces that fit together when assembled BUT NOT until properly assembled. Silver pins have a tiny hooked edge on one side of the tip. They should match the copper plates in the plastic case. Don't do this until you have connected the wire to the pins as it will be difficult to separate the pins from the copper. The copper is not supposed to conduct electricity, but only as a spring clip to hold the silver pins in place. This worries me because if the connector is ever heated by high current, the copper easily loses its resilience. Steel would be a better choice for the spring.
