After a long search for replacement bracket options for my JKUR, I decided on a complete set from MORryde (hinges, reinforcement and bracket). What led to replacing/upgrading factory components was a significant increase in tire size, which caused a fairly loud rumble in my tailgate, which was only hinged. Shortly after, however, due to another tire upgrade to 35s, I received a boost kit and trunk. First of all, everything I got from MORryde was nothing short of high quality, functionality and a fairly affordable price. Of course there are "nicer" holders/amplifiers out there for a lot more money, but the ones I've personally seen don't hold a tire on a Jeep any better and probably don't wear as well as this one. But if you want form > functionality, then why drive a Jeep? Especially if it's 90% covered with a tire. A bumper mounted bracket was also considered, but it's just another set of rust/rattle hinges. The fit and finish is excellent and I had no issues during installation. It probably took me longer to extend the brake light harness than it did to install the retainer with hand tools. If you can tie your shoelaces yourself, you can probably do it without swearing or hitting them with a hammer. I've ridden some difficult, very rough and rocky trails since installing the holder and have no complaints. I also recommend their hinges if your factory hinges are starting to rattle, as well as the Boost if you're 35 or over and planning on going off-road.
