I think it's out of production but I found ours to work fine. It's pretty easy to set up either as a full DHCP WiFi router or as a simple WiFi hotspot behind another DHCP router like the one I use at home. But our PSU died after 3-4 years of use so I bought a spare AR670W mainly because I already know how to set it up. (And then I bought a spare PSU, so now I have a spare.) Range is decent, but not quite enough to cover our single-story, ranch-style house from the common room (on one side). So I added a simple "wall mount" type WiFi extender to our main hall. I haven't checked the speed, but it seems sufficient. Another small problem with the old one: one of the two antennas broke just before the turning point. Still works I think but won't stand straight.
