These binoculars are perfect for bird watching with one exception. Good things first: I like their ergonomics. They are comfortable to hold and can be adjusted in no time at all. I also like how light they are. You can wear them around your neck for a long time without getting tired. The optics are sharp and clear. There is one notable problem though: the chromatic aberration (or magenta fringes) is quite large. So much so that in bright sunlight it's hard to see the edges of objects (be they birds or trees). The purple color in backlit birds in bright sunlight is so intense that it can be difficult to identify the species. However, they are generally good and even excellent for the price.
