My wife gave me a pair of binoculars for my wedding almost 50 years ago and they were some of the best binoculars of the time. The price then is likely to be around what they cost now at 2019 prices. The difference is stunning! Clarity is the biggest problem. Clearly, with this pair, Bushnell has taken full advantage of 50 years of improvements in lens technology. I compared these binoculars to my old Leica BA and Zeiss BT using the standard resolution and a color chart found on the internet and posted the results below. I've used the Zeiss to watch a play or when I need a purse or bag, but I carry a Leica when I need precision and don't mind the anvil-like weight.
