Review on πŸ—Ώ Medium Stone - Spyderco Double Stuff by John Huskisson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great sharpener, but not for beginners.

These are the same stones used in the Spyderco Sharp Maker sharpening system that I own. One side is medium grit gray stone and the other side is white fine sand. This is a flat stone that is held in the hand and used to polish nicks on the blade. The size makes it easy to slip into your pocket or backpack to take care of your cutting blade on the go. This stone is big enough to be used as a small workbench, but it's thin so you'll have to rest it on the edge of a block to work the knife on the stone, but it's also small enough to use as a to use file on the edge of a larger blade. This isn't for those new to knife sharpening as it doesn't come with any angle guides or instructions. It's just a double-sided stone and a leather case, simple and clear. Care Instructions: Wash the stones in warm water with a mild abrasive detergent and air dry. This should only be done when the metal particles have built up on the stone and when used they do not remove much of the blade material. They are made of ceramic and therefore break easily. So keep them in their storage box when not in use. Suede style leather.
