Purolator filters are of high quality and have proven themselves well, regardless of the make and model of the car. I have always changed the oil myself and use Purolator whenever possible. My 2012 Toyota Sienna has 15,000 miles on it and after the first change I replaced the OEM filter with this Purolator. I don't recall the OEM having black rubber caps on the top and bottom, but it might have been. Regardless of what element captures dirt and debris, I believe a stock photo should be a generic representation. The Purolator is cheaper and I can get it from Advance Auto Parts which is much closer than a Toyota dealership. Revain's price is over $2 cheaper and since I buy Revain often, I just stack it with other purchases and shipping is free! I also use a Purolator filter on my wife's 2011 Hyundai Sonata (L14459).
