This has to be one of the worst products Google has released. I am extremely disappointed. I have a 1 Gbit/s internet connection. I only bought Google's Grid system because I like Google and the features advertised on the system. My current router was working fine and I live in a small 1500 square foot house and decided to get the Google system to try. I set up the system and ran a speed test and got 60Mbps. I think there must be an error. I'm going through the whole process again, but I'm getting the same results. I fix the problem and run the diagnostics from the google app but according to the app. everything is fine". At this point I'm starting to think there's something wrong with the modem and I plug in an ethernet cable to check the speed directly from the modem and I get 970Mbps. Now I know 100% that the problem is with the google system, now all I have to do is call google support, I'll call them and do the usual troubleshooting steps you would expect and all I did I've already done it myself. When we get to the point where the only conclusion is that Google's system is buggy, Google tech support is forcing me to do things like move Wi-Fi points closer together or line of sight I live in a 1,500 square foot house and this mesh system was supposed to cover 3x more! Point-Fi should have been enough. After we ruled out that it wasn't because of the points, the tech started saying it was due to the surroundings n could. Then I connected the router provided by my ISP and immediately got over 800 Mbps. Apparently only the Google WiFi system had environmental issues. I thought I had a rare buggy system. After reading some blogs and forums, I realized that this is not uncommon. Lots of people are having the same problem, and Google seems to have taught their engineers to blame anything but their product. I love google products. It was a very disappointing experience. Please do not waste your time and money on this product.
