Definitely works as it should. I've had several turbocharged cars with BOVs (SRT4 with adapter plate, Saab 9-3 with Forge BOV, Saab 9-5 where I moved the MAF sensor so I could use the Forge BOV, Audi S4 with upgraded shifters, etc. ). It's not that loud because it's still the standard MINI boost and also because it's just an adapter for the stock diaphragm-type wastegate. But it gets the job done👍I have a 2014 MINI Countryman S All4 manual transmission with N18 so the installation wasn't as easy as the N14 automatic transmission this adapter was made for. In the pics where I've circled the red you can see I had to use my sanding/cutting wheel and shave off some of the OEM adapters AND the diverter valve around the edges. The wastegate drive and the line coming from the turbine don't give you much wiggle room. For this reason, it also took some time to loosen the old screws and put the new screws back in. To get it would take me 1 1/2 to 2 hours to make it from start to finish.
