The packaging the glasses arrived in was shaped to fit the glasses to protect them during transit, ideal to prevent breakage during transit. The jars were easy to open from their packaging, with lids and rings already attached to the jars but loose enough to prevent accidental sealing. Follow the prescribed "water canning” method, boiling the sanitizing jars in a canning container before filling the lids and soaking in hot water to activate the seals. Filling the jars with a 'can funnel', fitting the lids onto the rims of the jars and 'screwing' the rings holding the lids in place was quick and easy. The jars were then placed in "boiling water" in a mason jar and covered for processing times specified in the recipes. After being removed with a good quality can remover and air cooled in less than 10 minutes, all of the can lids "opened" indicating they were closed. Banks are a very attractive alternative to the more expensive branded banks and work just as well. from this positive review. 2) The labels that come with the jars are round and fit the lids but not the oval rings on the sides of the jars. This is a highly recommended product.
