I used this bulb planter for the first time in the first week of December 2018. It's true, I live in Washington state and we don't get cold that often; However, that day the temperature when planting was below 30 and the night temperature was above 20. This tool was great. I've used similar tools in the past and they buckled into the ground under the weight of my pushing; this one didn't. Despite the fact that I had to put all my weight on the tool to cut the surface of the ground, the bulb planter didn't flex. In addition, you can squeeze it with the handle, making it easy to separate the soil. Too bad I didn't buy this tool sooner than the ones I've bought in the past (which ended up failing). Very durable.
