Review on 🚲 Allen Sports Deluxe Child Trailer with Strong Steel Frame by Brandon Peters

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Super quality for the price range and very stable

Outstanding quality. In terms of stability, everything is fine. With almost all normal use there is no chance of a trailer tipping over. Even sometimes we need to slowly transition from the sidewalk to the bike path on the street (maybe a 6 inch elevation change) and the trailer can follow the bike very easily without feeling like it's about to tip over. The woman can easily operate this trailer from the back of her bike. Instructions for installation are included. The instructions are fine but the images aren't that clear and it's a black and white print. Do me a favor, search youtube for installing an Allen Sports trailer and after watching you will find a video that will start and stop the installation in less than 30 minutes. The only problem I had was finding the hole for the flag which is on the left side of the bike on the cover. There is a 1/2" and a 12" hole pocket that contains a flag. It has two protections on the front, the first is a net to prevent gravel etc - from being bumped by children. The second is a plastic cover that can be clipped onto the net and used as a rain cover. Today we went cycling and on the way back it started to rain. We were out in the rain for about half an hour and when we got home I checked into the cabin and it was dry. The wheels are metal, not cheap plastic. Major advantage. They had enough air pressure when they arrived. I just added a bit more but I don't think it was necessary. The wheels and all fittings are secured by an innovative lock that is taped to the trailer body and I have to admit it's the best way to do it. Great respect to the designer. This is because you won't lose the locks if you lose the wheels for any reason or part e.g. B. want to remove a trailer from a bicycle. They are simply attached to the body. Also, at the time of installation, you don't have plastic stuffed with 1000 screws and other junk. Actually I have to say that there were absolutely 0, I mean ZERO screws. Everything was done with these innovative locks and they were all placed close to where they needed to be. There are two plastic windows on the sides of the cab which my toddler likes to look around and see what's going on. The trailer is attached to my wife's bike (I have another trailer attached to my bike for my older bike) and when I walk past my wife I sometimes see my little one enjoying looking at things outside and also when we do come by, she follows us. us and smiles. This way the position of the side windows is at the right height and it is easy for the child/children to see the road. Overall we are very happy with our purchase. We have used this trailer for long trips (1 hour plus trips) a few times so far and it has been very durable. For the price Amazon offers a few other brands but luckily my wife did some research on other sites that compare bike trailers and for under $100 this is the best solution. Other brands either have cheap plastic wheels or the cab doesn't have good protection etc. I highly recommend it and wish we had bought it sooner. After all, with children we can no longer do many of the activities we used to do, but now the family bike has replaced these activities and with good equipment we enjoy the activity. Stay safe on your bike! Oh! and last. There is room for two children. If there is only one child inside, you can place them in the middle. But it has room for one more, and if my eldest gets tired or cold from cycling, he can sneak in and rest. It is a great comfort to us that we don't have to comfort our senior until we get home. It used to get tired in the middle of the trail and we had to stop, rest and leave after 15 minutes. Now we can just plug it in and move on.
