Doesn't control the top of the muffin but controls the waist
I'm 5'2" and 127 pounds and they fit fine for the most part. As for the "control top" it's there , but in the wrong place for my specific needs.I like control tops that specifically control my muffin top but this one is more geared towards having a gathered waist.Depending on what you want it can be useful or not. Definitely does not shine through. Very nice material, very soft and elastic!
